01/12/12 Weather Advisory In Effect

The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Ameren Illinois service area through Friday, January 13th.

Snow accumulations are expected to be 3 to 5 inches along and north of the I-74 corridor. Amounts will decrease to the south with 1 to 2 inches possible south of I-70.

Gusty northwesterly winds will cause considerable blowing and drifting snow. Depending on the location, driving conditions are expected to deteriorate tomorrow morning, becoming very hazardous as the day progresses.

Be safe. Prepare now for winter storms.
