07/20/10 - 4:00 - Ameren Illinois in Ready State, More Storms Forecasted
Restoration for Taylorville Area Near Complete
As of 4:00 this morning, reamaining outages in the North Pana, Taylorville, and Assumption areas of Division IV have been reduced to 223 customers out of service. Restoration is complete for Lawrenceville, Albion, Bridgeport, Olney areas of the Division.
The EOC is inactive now, but continues in a heightened ready state, Continued severe, stormy weather is forecasted for the central Illinois area.
The greatest risk of severe weather today will exist roughly from a line extending from Burlington, IA to Peoria, IL to Champaign, IL. The storms are expected to push into Ameren Illinois service area this morning and further west this afternoon. The main risks with any storms is gusts of wind in excess 55 mph and frequent lightning and heavy rainfall.
