Kewanee and La Salle Hit by Severe Storms

At approximately 17:30 severe storms moved through the northern part of the Ameren Illinois service area. From a peak of aapproximately 14,000 customers without service at 20:30 on 06/23/2010, 5914 customers remain without service.

Significant damage reports and resulting customer outages:

Kewanee - 20 broken poles and 30 spans of conductor are down with 3051 customers without service.
Galesburg - 5 broken poles and 15 spans of conductor are down with 1144 customers without service
LaSalle - 9 broken poles and 40 spans of secondary down 754 customer without service.
Peoira - 2 spans of conductor down with 243 customers without service.
Pekin - 1 broken pole and 12 spans of conductor down with 722 customers without service..

Given the current damage assessment and available resources, the estimated restoration time of 20:00 hours on 06/24/2010 is projected.
