Final Update

Since Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 19, 2009) thunderstorms in Central Illinois, power has been restored to more than 20,000 homes and businesses. Ameren Illinois' crews and outside contractors worked in harmony to restore power in a safe manner. There are some isolated outages that may persist as some AIU customers may need to make repairs to the facilities they own, such as the meter base, weatherhead or point of attachment. This work should be performed by a professional electrical contractor. These repairs must be completed before service can be safely restored.
