Most Restored from AM Storm; New Storm in Southern Illinois
We still have pockets where work continues, but most customer outages from storms early Tuesday have been restored. Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, we had a new round of storms roll through southern portions of our territory. Currently, most customers without power are located in five main counties: Alexander (289), Jackson (190), Macon (364), Saline (766) and Union (167). Weather permitting, crews will work overnight and most power will be restored by early Wednesday. We have restored power to more than 29,000 homes and businesses today and the EOC will continue to monitor the weather.
