Our Response Dependent On You
While clean up and response from the May 8 inland hurricane will continue for months, safety continues to be first and foremost. With the severity of damage throughout Southern Illinois, residents should stay away from any downed power lines and call us immediately. For those customers who may have had damage to their property preventing reconnection, we will aggressively work to restore service when requested.
While the enormous workforce is returning to their homes throughout the Midwest, AIU co-workers will continue to operate from long established offices in Anna, Benton, Carbondale, Harrisburg and Marion. At the end of the day, our response to the inland hurricane was dependent on the cooperation of local emergency officials, elected leaders, the media and thousands of others that worked together.
