Operations on Yellow Alert
Weather Update:
There is a threat (about 30%) of scattered severe storms this afternoon and evening with winds forecasted in the 55-65 mph range for the southernmost portions of our service territory – south of a line from Cape Girardeau to Terre Haute, IN. Areas near the Ohio River appear to be at particular risk.
Operations at YELLOW Alert:
Based on this weather forecast guidance and potential threat to our electric system, the Ameren Illinois Emergency Operations Center declared a YELLOW weather alert for the organization, effective at 07:45 05/31/2012. Ameren Illinois operations are ready to respond as needed to any storm outages.
