430 Personnel Working to Bring Power Back On
The Company has established a community outreach center at 107 East Church Street in Harrisburg. It will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. today.
At approximately 2:40 p.m. this afternoon, approximately 1,620 Ameren Illinois customers system-wide were out of service. (Note: The 1,620 customers includes all premises, including those where the Company may not be able to reconnect service. The Company has personnel working to identify premises where the damage will lead to protracted out-of-service circumstances for the impacted customers due to a structure being destroyed or severely damaged. Once we have been able to identify such premises, our intent is to reflect them in the reported outage counts.)
Communities experiencing more than 100 customer outages as of approximately 2:40 p.m. today, as a result of the February 29, 2012, early morning storm, are as follow:

Restoration efforts are currently underway. The following estimated restoration times (ERTs) have been established for the areas impacted by the yesterday’s early morning storms.
- Anna Area (Anna south to the Ohio River): End of Day today, Thursday, March 1
- Harrisburg: End of Day tomorrow, Friday, March 2 (with service being restored to the majority of the customers on Thursday)
The primary cause of the outages is weather-related, including damage that is related to an F-4 tornado that touched down in Harrisburg.
